There is daily traffic pressure on Bada Ganpati crossing. To overcome this, IDA has planned to construct a flyover.

Naiduniya Representative, Indore (Indore News). Flyovers are being built to ease traffic at the busiest intersections in Indore city. Currently, 13 flyovers and one railway ROB are being constructed in the city.
The action plan for building flyovers at Marimaata and Bada Ganpati crossing was also prepared by Indore Development Authority (IDA) about seven months ago, but despite this the work has not started yet.
For the first time in Indore Assembly constituency, a plan was prepared to build flyovers simultaneously on two intersections, Bada Ganpati and Marimaata intersection. The survey was completed by the IDA. The cost of construction of flyovers on both the intersections was estimated to be around Rs 72 crore.
In this, a 592 meter long flyover will be built from Kila Maidan to Polo Ground at Marimaata Square. Its cost has been fixed at around 39.88 crores. There will be no pillar under it.
Marimata Flyover
A 592 meter long flyover will be built on Marimaata. It will be built from Kila Maidan to Polo Ground. Its cost has been fixed at Rs 39.88 crore. Spans made of 45 meter long steel girders will be used in it.
Bada Ganpati Flyover
The 543 meter long flyover will be built on Bada Ganpati. It will descend from the last crossing towards Jinsi. The estimated cost has been fixed at Rs 33.1 crore.
The flyover will descend from the last intersection towards Jinsi
45 meter long spans made of steel girders will be installed, while the flyover will descend from the last crossing at Bada Ganpati towards Jinsi. Its length will be 543 meters and its estimated cost has been fixed at Rs 33.1 crore.
