Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. The High Court has stayed the transfer of Police Constable Navdeep Thakur, a resident of Umargaon in Dhamtari district, keeping in mind his wife’s pregnancy. Navdeep Thakur was transferred from Dhamtari to Mahasamund under the order issued by IG Raipur, against which he filed a petition in the High Court.

The petition stated that his wife Digeshwari Dhruv is 6 months pregnant and the expected date of delivery is three months later. There is no other member in the family to take care of his pregnant wife, and in case of transfer, he will not be able to take care of her. Keeping these circumstances in mind, the court stayed the transfer order.
