Suggestion to recognize cow dung paint, mobile unit for 50 thousand animals, tablet for 21st animal census
State Bureau, Naiduniya, Bhopal: In the meeting of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Ministers of all the states of the country held in Bhubaneswar on Saturday, Animal Husbandry Minister Lakhan Patel suggested to recognize the paint made from cow dung and market it. He said that cow shelters will be able to earn income from this.
It was also said that there should be one mobile unit for every 50 thousand animals for the treatment of animals and veterinary hospitals and dispensaries should be improved. It was also suggested to provide tablets to the employees for the 21st animal census starting from this month. The meeting was chaired by Union Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh.
The Central Semen Station operated by Madhya Pradesh Pashudhan Evam Kukkut Vikas Nigam was also honoured for its excellent work. Managing Director Dr. Raju Rawat and in-charge Dr. Deepali Deshpande received the trophy and certificate on behalf of the organisation.
The Union Minister assured full support from the Government of India. The Union Minister said that the dairy sector is unorganized, it should be developed through cooperative societies. States will have to be awakened in this regard and think seriously so that milk production can be increased.
