State Bureau, Naiduniya, Bhopal: The irrigation project which was approved by Shivraj Singh Chauhan in his home district Sehore while he was the Chief Minister, has been cancelled by the Mohan Yadav government. The Ekpaniya canal-less minor irrigation project of Rs 19 crore 42 lakh 22 thousand in the home district of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has been cancelled. Along with this, 11 projects have been approved in Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s home district Ujjain and Indore.

The Water Resources Department has cancelled the project and said in the order that as per the proposal received from the Chief Engineer, the command of this project is overlapping with the ISP Parvati Link Project under the Narmada Valley Development Authority, the Standing Finance Committee has agreed to cancel the administrative approval of this project on 29 August 2024. On this basis, the administrative approval of this project has now been cancelled.
1 Minor Irrigation Projects Approval
The Water Resources Department has issued administrative approval for a total of 11 minor irrigation projects in Ujjain and Indore districts. These include Ujjain district’s Panthpiplai stem dam worth Rs 573.72 lakh, Jamalpura stop dam worth Rs 456.46 lakh, Gothada stop dam worth Rs 624.42 lakh and Kithodaro barrage worth Rs 871.10 lakh.
Along with this, Pipaliya Ragho No.-2 Barrage project worth Rs 506.36 lakh, Ramawas No.-2 Barrage project worth Rs 634.67 lakh and Indore district’s Brahman Pipaliya Stopdam worth Rs 268.90 lakh, Darjikaradhia Stopdam worth Rs 264.03 lakh, Kudana Stopdam worth Rs 196.97 lakh, Kayasthakhedi Stopdam worth Rs 343.05 lakh and Sahada Stopdam project worth Rs 431.91 lakh are included.
