    State Bureau, Naiduniya, Bhopal: The functioning of the Ultra Mega Solar Plant located in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh has been included as a case study by the world famous Harvard University. Under this, the excellent management, operation and solar energy production of the plant is being taught as an ideal example.

    This plant is not only the world’s largest plant, but also the cheapest commercial power producer. Electricity will be available from here at Rs 3.3 per unit for the next 25 years.

    There are 4 lakh 67 thousand square kilometers of barren land in India.

    In the case study, it was told that 4 lakh 67 thousand square meters of barren land has been estimated in India. This can be used to set up solar power plants. A 600 MW floating solar project is also being developed on the Narmada river in Omkareshwar in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh.

    Campaign to install solar panels

    According to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, in the recent national summit on renewable energy held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, many industrialists have expressed their desire to set up solar plants in Madhya Pradesh. A campaign will be launched in Bhopal to get solar panels installed on the roofs of government buildings and on the roofs of citizens’ homes.

    Generation of 37 lakh units of electricity

    Production of 37 lakh units of electricity every day This plant of total capacity of 750 MW now produces 37 lakh units of electricity every day. Out of the 37 lakh units of electricity produced every day, 24 percent is supplied for the operation of Delhi Metro. The importance of this plant is evident from the fact that it is included in the innovation book of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

    This is also included in his dream project. It has received the President’s Award from the World Bank. It was inaugurated virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 10, 2020. Delhi Metro is being provided electricity at the rate of Rs 4.5 per unit.
