According to jail sources, a miscreant had attacked the prisoner with a knife and seriously injured him in revenge for the stabbing incident in the jail a fortnight ago.

According to information received from sources, the stabbing incident took place on September 27. The attacker is Asif alias Butti, a criminal from Maudhapara police station area, who attacked history-sheeter Syed Nadeem of Telibandha police station area with a knife. Let us tell you that Nadeem is in jail for the last 5 years on the charges of murder of Deepak Naidu. Nadeem suffered injuries on his cheek, face and head in this attack.

    weapon made by grinding spoon

While eating food in the jail, the miscreants stole a spoon, rubbed it, turned it into a knife and attacked each other with it. According to sources, this stabbing was done to establish dominance in the barrack.

Jail sources said that Asif attacked Nadeem to avenge the attack on Sheikh Sahil, a criminal of Maudhapara police station area, on June 12. At the time of the attack, all the miscreants were confined in the same barrack. This incident took place in the barrack of Chhoti Gol of the jail. If the incident is not reported in the police station, it may further increase the morale of the miscreants. After the incident, the jail administration has shifted all the accused to different barracks.
