Once again a murder of relationships has taken place in Mungeli district, no one had thought that one day the same son-in-law would end the life of the man with whom he had married his daughter. Police has got a big success within 24 hours in solving the mystery of a blind murder in Lormi police station area of ​​Mungeli district. When the curtain was raised on this unsolved mystery, even the police were surprised for a moment. In fact, the accused in this murder case turns out to be none other than the son-in-law of the deceased, who brutally murdered his own father-in-law for not sending his wife along. The son-in-law who committed this murder is now behind bars.

    what are the developments

    On September 30, 2024, information about the dead body of Nanu Nishad, resident of village Raveli (Navrangpur) lying near the bridge of Maniyari river in village Raveli (Navrangpur), was received at Lormi police station. Superintendent of Police Bhojram Patel was informed about the information. Under the direction and guidance of the Superintendent of Police, a team was formed under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Pankaj Patel to investigate the case. Along with the Additional Superintendent of Police, Deputy Superintendent of Police Lormi Madhuri Dhirhi, station in-charge Lormi and other staff, as well as the Scene of Crime Unit of Forensic immediately reached the spot and started investigation.

    Injury marks found on the body of the deceased

    Seeing the dead body of deceased Nanu Nishad and inspection of the spot, it became clear that he was murdered by hitting him on the head with a sharp weapon. In this regard, crime number 334/24 section 103 (1) BNS was registered in Lormi police station. With the help of forensic and dog squad team, several suspects were closely interrogated on the basis of preliminary clues obtained from the spot inspection.

    The son-in-law kept giving evasive answers and then…

    The police team remained continuously in Raveli (Navrangpur) village. Eventually a suspect, Ramsahay Dhimar, father of Ramdas Dhimar, who was a resident of the same village, started giving different answers with the aim of misleading the police. After being taken into custody and interrogated strictly, Ramshay Dhimar confessed to his crime. Accused Ramsahay Dhimar was the son-in-law of the deceased Nanu Nishad.

    Was upset at not going with wife

    There was an ongoing dispute between the deceased and the accused. Accused Ramsahay was addicted to drinking, due to which his wife left him and started living in her father’s house, village Raveli (Navrangpur). The accused went to his in-laws’ house several times to pick up his wife, but his father-in-law, Nanu Nishad, refused to take his daughter every time and abused him. This made Ramsahay angry and he developed a grudge against his father-in-law.

    Was planning murder for a month

    Keeping a grudge for the last one month, accused Ramsahay Dhimar was planning to murder his father-in-law. On September 29, at around 11 pm, he went to his in-laws’ house in Raveli (Navrangpur) on his motorcycle with a dog, an iron weapon for cutting fish kept in his house. There he remained hidden near the Shiva temple located next to his in-laws’ house. The accused knew that his father-in-law Nanu Nishad goes to Maniyari river every day at 2-3 pm for fishing. The accused kept waiting for his father-in-law secretly. As soon as the deceased Nanu Nishad left the house for fishing, the accused followed him taking advantage of the darkness. Nanu Nishad was sitting near the river, when accused Ramsahay Dhimar attacked him several times from behind on his head and face, due to which Nanu Nishad died on the spot.

    After committing the murder, accused Ramsahay Dhimar hid the weapon used in the murder in the courtyard of his in-laws’ house and fled on his motorcycle to his home in Lakhasar. The weapon used in the murder, the motorcycle used in the escape and other physical evidence were seized from the accused Ramsahay Dhimar and he was arrested.

    The accused collided with the police officer

    The accused Ramsahay, after killing his father-in-law, was hastily running to his house at night to hide. Meanwhile, Lormi police station in-charge Abhishek Vaishnav was doing night patrolling in the police station area along with his team. Then suddenly the accused collided with him. When he was found in a suspicious state at midnight, the police station had also taken a photograph of the accused, which was very helpful in solving the mystery of the murder.
