    Sandeep Singh Thakur, Lormi. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao today performed Bhoomi Pujan and laid the foundation stone of a high level bridge on Maniyari river in village Karidongri of Mungeli district. On this occasion he congratulated the local residents. This bridge under construction in village Karidongri will prove to be an important facility for 11 villages of the area, due to which the residents there will be able to have uninterrupted transportation throughout the year. The population of about 11,000 villages of Darwaza, Kanseri, Akhrar, Khamhi, Ghanaghat, Dongria, Karidongri, Jakarbandha, Khudia, Mahamai and Lamani will benefit from this bridge.

    Construction will be done at a cost of Rs 581 lakh

    The construction of the bridge will be 120 meters long and its cost has been fixed at Rs 581 lakh. A target has been set to complete the construction work in one year. The Deputy Chief Minister directed the officials of the Public Works Department to ensure quality in the construction of the bridge and complete the work within the time limit.

    On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Sao said, “Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, continuous efforts are being made for development in the state. Many schemes are being run for the welfare of villages, poor, farmers, youth, and women. Various construction works including roads, bridges, culverts are being done on priority in the district.”

    Collector Rahul Dev congratulated the residents of the area on the bhoomi pujan and foundation stone laying of the bridge in village Karidongri and said that this bridge was a much awaited demand, which is being fulfilled today.

    It is noteworthy that on this occasion, Superintendent of Police Bhojram Patel, Divisional Forest Officer Sanjay Yadav, District Panchayat CEO Prabhakar Pandey, Lormi SDM Ajit Pujari, Executive Engineer of Bridge Construction Department R. Of. Khambhra, local public representatives, distinguished citizens and a large number of people were present.
