The name of the accused who have been arrested by the police is Sheikh Shahnawaz alias Shanu Maharaj (age 25 years) and the name of the other is Shahrukh (age 19 years). Another accused involved in this incident is absconding, whose name is Heera Chhura. These three accused are residents of Maudhapara.
Both were planning to leave the city
According to the information, Sheikh Sahil, who was injured in the firing, had reached Raipur Central Jail with his entire family to meet his brother who was in jail. As soon as he came out after the meeting, a young man who was among the attackers started talking to him. Meanwhile, another youth opened fire. The accused had fled after the attack. After this incident which took place outside the Central Jail in the state capital, there was a sensation in the entire city, meanwhile, in view of the seriousness of the matter, senior police officers registered a crime in Ganj police station and formed 10 different teams and they were sent to arrest the attackers. Instructions were given to find and arrest him as soon as possible. To catch the attackers, Raipur Police set up check posts and blockades on all the borders of the city. During this, the police arrested Sheikh Shahnawaz alias Shanu Maharaj (age 25 years) and Mohammad Shahrukh from Nandanvan located on the border of Raipur and Durg.

Let us tell you that these attackers, who were caught by the police, attacked Sahil due to old enmity. For this, the miscreants had reached the Central Jail with proper planning. At the time of the incident, apart from Shahnawaz and Shahrukh, two other youths were riding on another bike with them. Their plan was that if there was any mistake in the first attack, then the attackers riding on the second bike would run away after firing at Sahil. According to the police, more than half a dozen youth were in contact with these youth during the incident.
