Raipur. After the issue of taking permission for the topics of speeches during Friday prayers in Chhattisgarh gained momentum, the Waqf Board has issued a clarification. In this regard, the board issued a letter on Monday to the Mutawallis (Sadar) of mosques in all the districts of Chhattisgarh, in which it is said that the Mutawallis and committee officials of the mosques are informed that the Imam Sahab is free to make any religious statement/speech before Friday prayers in the mosque.

In the letter, the board has also mentioned that before the Friday prayers, if any matter other than religious statement/speech is to be presented to the congregation in the mosque, then for this, permission of the Waqf Board will be required through the WhatsApp group created earlier by the Chhattisgarh State Waqf Board for Mutawallis (Sadar) or through correspondence.
