    The beautiful natural environment, rich tribal culture, and peaceful atmosphere are once again becoming the identity of Bastar: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai

    Raipur/ The original identity of Bastar has been its beautiful natural environment, rich tribal culture, and peaceful atmosphere. In one year, we have undertaken the momentous task of restoring Bastar’s original identity. Today, Bastar is being praised not only in India but across the world. The United Nations World Tourism Organization has included the village of Dhumarras among the 20 best tourism villages in the world. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said this while addressing the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of development projects held at the PG College Hostel ground in Jagdalpur today. On this occasion, he inaugurated and performed the ground-breaking ceremony for 288 development projects costing ₹356 crore 44 lakh and distributed checks and materials worth over ₹1 crore 55 lakh to beneficiaries under various schemes.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government is working with full commitment for the progress and development of the Bastar region. Keeping in mind the needs of the Bastar region, all basic amenities and resources are being made available. We want to develop Bastar with confidence, in which we are succeeding. We are fulfilling every promise we made to the people of Chhattisgarh as a guarantee from Modi. Within one year of the government’s formation, we have fulfilled most of Modi’s guarantees.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that upon our government’s request to the central government, separate approval has been given for 15,000 Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana houses to provide housing to the people in the sensitive areas of Bastar.

    The Chief Minister said that fulfilling Prime Minister Shri Modi’s guarantee of 18 lakh PM Awas approvals, on the very second day of our government’s oath, we gave housing approvals to homeless beneficiaries. The approved PM Awas houses are now being built, and the beneficiary families are also taking possession of their homes. He said that on January 7, the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, is coming to Chhattisgarh, and on that day also, homeless beneficiaries in the state will be benefited. He said that we have launched the Niyada Nella Nara Yojana for the development of Naxal-affected and backward areas, under which we are rapidly ensuring the development of basic amenities in villages located within a 5-kilometer radius of security camps under 53 welfare schemes of 17 government departments and 28 community facilities.

    The Chief Minister said that we have also implemented the National Education Policy. Today, studies are being conducted in 18 local languages in the state’s schools. Children in Bastar are studying in Halbi and Gondi. In the interest of our youth who wish to become doctors, we have decided to conduct MBBS studies in Hindi medium. Under the PM Shri School Yojana, we are making arrangements for modern education in 341 schools. He said that the development of cities and villages is continuing uninterrupted. Within one year, ₹7,000 crore has been released for the development of urban areas across the state.

    Announcement of ₹50 Crore for Water Supply in Nagar Panchayat Bastar

    Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw, addressing the program, announced ₹50 crore for providing pure drinking water to every household under the Amrit Mission scheme in Nagar Panchayat Bastar. Forest and Cooperation Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap said that there is a double-engine government of Prime Minister Shri Modi at the Centre and Chief Minister Shri Sai in the state, due to which the pace of development has increased. The program was also addressed by Revenue Minister Shri Tankram Verma, Jagdalpur MLA Shri Kiran Singh Dev, and Bastar MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap. On this occasion, Lok Sabha MP Kanker Shri Bhojraj Nag, MLAs Shri Vinayak Goyal and Shri Chaitram Atami, along with other public representatives and dignitaries and a large number of villagers were present.
