How did the betrayal happen?
Kamlesh Kumar, 40, a resident of Govindpur village in Tambor police station area of Sitapur, whose first wife had passed away, was looking for the next chapter of his life. They wanted to marry again to manage the house and take care of the children. Meanwhile, he met a middleman who promised to introduce him to a good girl for marriage. The middleman showed Kamlesh a photo of a girl, whom he liked and agreed to the marriage. The middleman also took Rs 30,000 from them for the marriage process.
After this, the middleman informed them that the marriage has been finalized and the date of marriage has been fixed at the Shiv temple of Bharohiya village located in Khajni police station area of Gorakhpur. After the entire process, Kamlesh reached Gorakhpur with his entire family and started preparations for the wedding in the temple. Kamlesh gave the bride a wedding dress, make-up items, jewelery and a new saree. Seeing all this he was happy that now his life would improve.

The bride was dressed beautifully and everything looked perfect. But just then, the bride said she needed to go to the bathroom and left from there. When the bride did not return for a long time, Kamlesh started chasing her. But as soon as he reached the bathroom, he did not find anyone there. The bride had made the excuse of going to the bathroom, but in reality she had absconded with her mother from there, taking the belongings and jewellery.

SP South Jitendra Kumar said that if the victim complains, the police will investigate the matter and take legal action. But at present no concrete action could be taken because the complaint has not been officially registered.
