    20.53 lakh farmers have been paid ₹23,790 crore for paddy procurement.

    Paddy lifting is happening rapidly alongside procurement.

    DOs and TOs have been issued for the lifting of 79.15 lakh metric tonnes of paddy.

    49.15 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been lifted.

    Raipur, January 7, 2025/ Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, paddy is being procured smoothly from the state’s farmers. Senior officials are continuously monitoring the paddy procurement system. The paddy procurement, which began on November 14 in the state, continues uninterrupted. To date, approximately 106 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been procured. More than ₹23,790 crore has been paid to 20.53 lakh farmers through the bank linkage system in lieu of paddy procurement. This paddy procurement campaign will run until January 31, 2025.

    Tokens for paddy sale have been provided to all registered farmers of the state for the Kharif Marketing Year 2024-25 through the online app (Token Tuhar Haath) and procurement centers until January 25, 2025. Farmers can choose the date as per their convenience and sell paddy according to the rules.

    Along with paddy procurement, the lifting of paddy by millers is also happening rapidly. DOs and TOs have been issued for the lifting of 79.15 lakh metric tonnes of paddy so far; 49.15 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been lifted in return.

    Food Department officials stated that on January 7, 2025, 3.41 lakh metric tonnes of paddy were procured from 65,321 farmers. 75,905 tokens were issued for this. 73,725 tokens have been issued for the coming days.

    It is noteworthy that 27.78 lakh farmers registered for this Kharif year by the state government. This includes 1.59 lakh new farmers. This year, 160 lakh metric tonnes of paddy are estimated to be procured through 2739 procurement centers.
