Chief Minister launches distribution of Swamitva cards in Dhamtari.

₹268 crore worth of development projects inaugurated.

Raipur, January 8, 2025/ We have adopted a digital governance model in Chhattisgarh to facilitate and empower citizen services. Information technology-based systems are being used in all departments to ensure easy access to schemes for every member of society. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai made this statement today at a function in Dhamtari district to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects. In the program, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth ₹268 crore. Beneficiary materials were also distributed to beneficiaries of various schemes on this occasion.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that through Swamitva cards, a major problem of rural residents living on inhabited land in rural areas is being solved today. These people are getting firm ownership documents for inhabited land. Due to the lack of documents, cases often remained pending in courts for years in case of disputes. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi understood this problem and encouraged the use of technology to solve it.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that if India is to become a superpower, it will have to become technologically capable. In Chhattisgarh, our government has adopted digital governance at every level. To make it easier for people in registration, and to make it a transparent process, we have developed the Sugam app. We are also working on digitization of documents. The drone surveys we conducted for the Swamitwa Yojana have created an updated map of inhabited land, which will have many benefits. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that it will greatly help in creating the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP). It will greatly help in overseeing government and public property and will eliminate the possibility of encroachment.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that our successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji first thought that roads should reach even remote settlements, that they should have clean water, electricity, and schools for children. It is only when such sensitivity exists in the mind that a scheme like PM Janman comes into existence. Within one year, through the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, the development of Kamar tribal settlements has been illuminated. We have built 36 roads at a cost of approximately ₹47 crore. He said that PM Awas, Saubhagya Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Janman Yojana, all schemes make citizens’ lives easier and open the way for development for future generations.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Dhamtari district has received the special boon of the Chitrotpala Mahanadi river. The Dhamtari district has always been a leader in the field of agriculture. Farmer brothers are working hard and getting good crops. Besides paddy, they are also getting pulses and oilseeds crops. Abundant water is needed for all this, so water conservation is very important. Extensive work has been done on water conservation in Dhamtari district. An initiative has been taken to save every drop of water.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that farmers are getting ample benefits from the state government’s farmer-friendly policies. With the purchase of paddy at ₹3100 per quintal and 21 quintals per acre, Chhattisgarh is giving farmers the best price. So far, we have purchased about 10.6 million metric tons of paddy from more than 2 million farmers in the state. So far, we have paid more than ₹23,000 crore to the farmer brothers. He said that 107,000 farmers in Dhamtari district have sold 482,000 metric tons of paddy. So far, ₹1111 crore has been given to their accounts.

In the program, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the state has developed. He said that with Modi Ji’s guarantee and Vishnu’s good governance, all sections are getting equal benefits from various schemes. Shri Saw said that development is taking place from cities to remote villages. He said that people are benefiting from the government’s Mahatari Vandana Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Swamitva Yojana, etc. Minister in Charge Shri Tankram Verma congratulated the beneficiaries on the distribution of ownership records in the district under the Swamitva Yojana.
