    Four percent increase in Dearness Relief for 7th Pay Scale pensioners and nine percent for 6th Pay Scale pensioners.

    Order issued by the Urban Administration Department.

    Raipur, January 17, 2025. The state government has increased the Dearness Relief for pensioners and family pensioners of urban bodies. The Urban Administration and Development Department has increased the Dearness Relief for those receiving pensions under the 7th Pay Scale by four percent and for those receiving pensions under the 6th Pay Scale by nine percent. Pensioners and family pensioners under both pay scales will receive this increase from October 1, 2024.

    After approval from the Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Urban Administration and Development, Shri Arun Saw, the department issued orders in this regard from the ministry today. After the state government’s increase in Dearness Relief, the Dearness Relief for 7th Pay Scale and 6th Pay Scale pensioners will be 50 percent and 239 percent respectively. Currently, 7th Pay Scale pensioners are receiving 46 percent and 6th Pay Scale pensioners are receiving 230 percent Dearness Relief.
