    Raipur, January 21, 2025/ Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar addressed students from NIT, IIT, and IIM at the ‘Kalpanaen: Better Bharat Ki’ program held at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Auditorium in Raipur today. He stated that youth have a vital role to play in fulfilling the dream of a developed India.

    Addressing the students, Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar said that they are all studying in prestigious educational institutions of the country. These institutions provide education in cutting-edge technology. The country is promoting new technologies like AI, machine learning, and green hydrogen. The Vice President said that when India celebrates its 75th anniversary of independence in 2047, the dream of a strong and developed India will not just be a goal, but a guaranteed destination.

    Vice President Shri Dhankhar said that India is progressing towards becoming a world leader again, thanks to its youth. He urged the use of indigenous products, stating that by avoiding imported goods, every citizen can contribute to strengthening India.

    Governor Shri Ramesh Deka stated that a strong India must be self-reliant and globally connected. This vision can be realized by fostering a strong culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. By empowering rural communities through sustainable agriculture, promoting tribal entrepreneurship, and investing in state-of-the-art infrastructure, Chhattisgarh can become a beacon of inclusive and sustainable development.

    Governor Shri Deka said that our youth are the builders of tomorrow. They should be equipped with skills that integrate traditional knowledge with modern technologies. Skill development programs and promoting self-reliance will lay the foundation for a resilient economy and a united society. Industry-linked education and leading research institutions must be promoted to prepare our youth for global challenges.

    Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that to build a prosperous India, we need to develop a deep understanding and study of our glorious history and Sanātana traditions. India has been a world leader since ancient times. Universities like Takshashila and Nalanda were renowned throughout the world. A society that learns from its past events is the one that realizes the dream of a prosperous future.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that to build a better India, we must understand the challenges facing the nation. Whether it is semiconductors or space technology, our country is rapidly moving towards self-reliance. He said that we are working on green GDP to tackle the challenge of climate change. Along with measures to reduce carbon emissions, we are promoting green steel. Where there are challenges, there are also opportunities hidden within.

    On this occasion, Vice President Shri Dhankhar laid the foundation stone for a girls’ hostel to be built on the NIT campus. The girls’ hostel being built on the NIT campus will be constructed by SECL through CSR funds. The program was attended by the Vice President’s wife Dr. Sudesh Dhankhar, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Shri Tokhan Sahu, Chairman, Board of Governors NIT Shri Suresh Haware, CMD SECL Dr. PS Mishra, IIT Director Prof. Rajiv Prakash, IIM Director Prof. R.K. Kakani, NIT Director Prof. NV Ramana Rao, along with scholars and a large number of students from NIT, IIM, and IIT.
