The government aims for zero tolerance towards corruption and strengthening transparent administration: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Say.

E-office: Another big step by the Chhattisgarh government towards good governance and transparency.

E-office launched in all departments of the Ministry: 16 departmental head offices also connected to e-office.

Launch of e-office in Sakti district.

Raipur, February 7, 2025/ Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Say said that the government is committed to empowering good governance and making administrative processes transparent, efficient, and quick. In this direction, instructions were given in a meeting of departmental secretaries on January 1, 2025, to implement e-office in all departments and offices. He said that most of the files of the General Administration Department are being handled through e-office and its full implementation in all departments will be ensured by March 31, 2025. The Chief Minister spoke of providing training facilities for e-office to officers and employees so that it can be effectively implemented in all departments.

It is noteworthy that the Chhattisgarh government has implemented the e-office system in a phased manner with the aim of promoting e-governance and bringing transparency in government work. It was first launched in the General Administration Department and has now been extended to all departments of the ministry. So far, 16 departmental head offices have been connected to the e-office system, and the process of implementing it at the district level has been expedited. Sakti is the first district where e-office has been fully implemented.

Chief Minister Shri Say said that the e-office system will bring unprecedented improvement in the speed, efficiency, and transparency of government work. This initiative will bring automation to government processes, making file tracking easier, speeding up decision-making, and curbing corruption. He instructed the Chief Secretary to ensure digital approval of files in all departments so that unnecessary delays in government work are eliminated and administrative decisions can be implemented quickly.

The state government is constantly striving to empower digital governance at all levels. Furthering Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Digital India” campaign, the Chhattisgarh government has effectively implemented e-governance, making all the state’s government services more transparent, convenient, and faster. The Chief Minister said that e-governance has been adopted in Chhattisgarh as an effective tool of good governance, ensuring that government services reach the public faster and easier.

The implementation of the e-office system will reduce the time taken for file approvals, allowing for the prompt implementation of administrative decisions. This includes real-time file tracking, security of digital documents, and centralized data management to prevent duplication. Reduced paperwork will improve the efficiency of government offices and make governance more effective and accountable. The e-office system will also save on paper, human resources, and transportation costs, thereby reducing government expenditure.

The Chief Minister has instructed all departments to implement the e-office system with priority so that the government’s work process can be made more timely, effective, and transparent. He said that the successful implementation of e-office will be a concrete step towards including Chhattisgarh among the leading states in digital transformation.
