Raipur, February 9, 2025: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Chhattisgarh’s daughter and mountaineer Nisha Yadav on her historic achievement of hoisting the Indian flag atop Kilimanjaro (5895 meters), the highest peak in Africa. He called it an inspiration for the youth of the state, stating that Nisha’s achievement exemplifies firm resolve, struggle, and self-confidence. Nisha’s success has proven that with determination and dedication, no peak is impossible.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the success of Chhattisgarh’s daughter Nisha is a glorious achievement for the entire state. Nisha has enhanced the prestige of the state through her hard work and courage.
Chief Minister Shri Sai mentioned that he met Nisha in Bilaspur a few months ago, where, seeing her determination, he provided her with financial assistance of ₹3.45 lakh so that she could achieve her goal. Today, when Nisha has conquered Kilimanjaro and hoisted the tricolor, it proves that any dream can be fulfilled with hard work and proper guidance.
Despite difficulties, she did not abandon her dream; the government provided support.
Nisha Yadav’s journey was not easy. Despite being the daughter of an auto-rickshaw driver from Bilaspur district, she showed the courage to realize her dreams. Despite limited resources, she never let her spirits falter and made a name for herself in the field of mountaineering.
The Chief Minister said that this achievement of Nisha is a source of inspiration for countless young people in Chhattisgarh. It conveys the message that if you have passion and dedication, no difficulty can stop you from reaching your goal. He further stated that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to promoting sports and adventurous activities and will provide all possible assistance to the daughters of the state so that they can make their mark internationally.
