    The Chief Minister congratulated the security forces on their historic success in the fight against Naxalites.

    Raipur, February 9, 2025: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai described the major success achieved by the security forces in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh against Naxalites as a big step towards the goal of a Naxal-free Chhattisgarh, stating that Bastar is now moving from a “gun republic” to a “republic”. Chief Minister Sai attributed this success to the skillful leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah. He said that under the successful leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, our state will be free from Naxalism by March 2026. Due to the visionary policy and effective strategy of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the security forces are continuously getting success and we are rapidly moving towards the goal.

    The Chief Minister termed the killing of 31 Naxalites in an encounter by security forces in Bijapur district today as a major success and paid homage to the bravery of the valiant soldiers. He said that the manner in which the security force personnel carried out this operation by entering the stronghold of the Naxalites reflects their extraordinary bravery and strategic efficiency. He expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of two brave soldiers and injuries to two other soldiers in this encounter.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh is now at a decisive juncture. The countdown for Naxalism has begun, and now only an environment of development, peace, and security will be established in the state. We will completely free Chhattisgarh from Naxalism by March 31, 2026. This is not just an announcement, but a firm commitment of the government and a promise made to every citizen of the state. He said that the success of the security forces against the Naxalites and the implementation of the government’s welfare schemes are now heralding a secure and prosperous future in Bastar.
