Chief Minister released the Officers Wives Association’s coffee table book, “Soul of the Soil”

The coffee table book “Soul of the Soil Life’s Rhythms in Chhattisgarh” is based on memories of Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage

Raipur, March 8, 2025 // Preserving our cultural heritage will not only enlighten the present generation but also make future generations proud. “Soul of the Soil” is a beautiful effort to preserve the rhythm of life in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said this today while releasing the coffee table book “Soul of the Soil Life’s Rhythms in Chhattisgarh,” based on memories of Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage, at the Chhattisgarh Club in Raipur on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Notably, this coffee table book is a joint concept of the IAS, IPS, and IFS Officers Wives Association.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai extended his best wishes to all the women present on the occasion of International Women’s Day. He said that it is necessary to preserve the cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh, such as primitive culture, art, literature, folk music, and folk dance. Such a publication is certainly very useful and makes us all proud. The effort to preserve Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage in this coffee table book is highly commendable. The Chief Minister further said that farmers have prospered from the fertile soil of Chhattisgarh, and the path to prosperity has opened for all sections. This land is the land of social consciousness, where great saints like Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji and martyrs like Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh were born. He said that this is the birthplace of Mata Kaushalya and the maternal home of Lord Shri Ram. This is the land of work of Mata Shabari, whom Lord Shri Ram himself blessed by partaking of her tasted berries. During his exile, Ramlala’s lotus feet fell here. Poets and writers never tire of describing the glory of this land and the cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this book, as a beautiful opportunity to know and understand the culture of Chhattisgarh, will be successful in its objectives. During this, the Chief Minister also listened to some poems compiled in the coffee table book.

On this occasion, retired Indian Administrative Service officer Dr. Indira Mishra said that the women of all three associations have made this beautiful effort together. Today, on the special occasion of Women’s Day, this 200-page book has created cherished memories. Dr. Mishra also shared her administrative experience and her experiences as the president of the IAS Officers Wives Association. Mrs. Ritu Amitabh Jain, President of the IAS Officers Wives Association, gave the welcome address at the program. Mrs. Janhavi Pandey recited a Chhattisgarhi poem at the release program.

On this occasion, Mrs. Jyoti Gautam, President of the IPS Officers Wives Association, Mrs. Jyoti Sahu, President of the IFS Officers Wives Association, Dr. Vandana Aggarwal, and members of all three associations were present.
