Bhopal: Cleanliness is a resolution, which has been made a mass movement in Madhya Pradesh. The state has imbibed the cleanliness resolution of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The results of the cleanliness movement are beginning to appear. Like every year in the country and the state, the world’s largest sanitation competition Swachh Survekshan-2024 continues.
The cities of the state are participating very seriously in the clean survey. During the clean survey, the survey teams of the Central Government take stock of cleanliness arrangements in cities. It contains a total of three tests including the star rating (1,3 5 and 7 star ratings) for garbage free cities (ODF ++ and Water+) waste preparations, free from open defecation and feces-water disposal (1,3 5 and 7 star ratings). At present, the testing of basic preparations is going on in the state, in which the tests have been completed in 269 cities, teams are reaching for the rest of the cities. This will be followed by Testing of ODF ++ and Star Rating.
The urban bodies of Madhya Pradesh are engaged in grooming urban cleanliness throughout the year. Effective mechanisms have been developed for regular waste collection, transport and disposal in the state. This is ensuring the cleanliness of cities. With this, efforts are being made to provide ODF ++ and Water+ Certificate to cities after making the ban on open defecation successful. The Urban Administration and Housing Department is constantly appealing to the citizens, youth and public representatives of the state to cooperate in making cities clean. The changed form of cities is demonstrating the success of the efforts of governance.
