Raipur, March 31, 2025 / Dr. Kumar Vishwas will perform the “Bastar Ke Ram” narration at the ‘Bastar Pandum,’ a celebration of art, culture, and traditions of the Bastar region. This event, to be held on April 3rd, will set new milestones for peace and cultural renaissance in the Bastar region.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, describing “Bastar Pandum 2025” as a cultural renaissance connected to the soul of Bastar, said that it is not just an event, but a celebration of Bastar’s identity, faith, and aspirations. He said that programs like ‘Bastar ke Ram’ connect the land of Bastar with spiritual energy and prove that the most powerful path to development goes through culture and tradition. Chief Minister Shri Sai expressed confidence that this festival will give Bastar a new identity on the global cultural map, and our tribal traditions will become a source of pride and inspiration for future generations.

It is noteworthy that the Dandakaranya region had a special place in the Ramayana period, and Shri Ram spent some time during his exile in the forests of Dandakaranya. Dr. Kumar Vishwas will recite his Ram Katha “Bastar ke Ram,” focusing on the importance of Shri Ram in the context of the Bastar region.

When the echo of the Ram Katha in the voice of Dr. Kumar Vishwas spreads in the valleys of Bastar at the Bastar Pandum event, it will not just be words but a feeling of peace, unity, and renaissance. Through this event, people will be able to remember Shri Ram’s stay in the Bastar region and experience their rich mythological heritage.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, on the occasion of “Bastar ke Ram,” said that events like “Bastar Pandum” and “Bastar ke Ram” are like a cultural bridge connecting the Bastar region to India and the world, which is indicative of the commitment of our Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai for the integrated development of the Bastar region. The Bastar region is proudly witnessing today that the end of violence is possible and the path to peace goes through culture.

It is noteworthy that the state government is organizing “Bastar Pandum 2025” for the preservation, promotion, and encouragement of local art, culture, and lifestyle of the tribal-dominated Bastar division, in the inaugural session of which the “Bastar ke Ram” program is scheduled to be held at 6 pm.
