    On Utkal Day, Saluted the Historical Inspiration for the Establishment of the State of Odisha

    Raipur, April 1, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today paid his respects to the great freedom fighter Barrister Madhusudan Das by garlanding his statue at Mahila Thana Chowk (Madhusudan Das Chowk) in the capital Raipur on the occasion of Utkal Day.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai extended best wishes to the Utkal Community and the people of Odisha

    Chief Minister Shri Sai extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all the brothers of the Utkal community living across the state and the country on the Odisha State Foundation Day (Utkal Day). He said that this day is not only a celebration of the formation of Odisha, but also an inspiration for struggle, self-respect and cultural unity. The Chief Minister said that a large number of people from the Utkal community reside in Chhattisgarh, who strengthen the social harmony and diversity of the state.

    Saluted the contribution of Barrister Madhusudan Das

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that it was due to the struggles of a visionary and dedicated personality like Barrister Madhusudan Das that the state of Odisha was formed on April 1, 1936. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh and Odisha have had cultural and social relations for centuries. He informed that the rice offered to Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath still goes from Chhattisgarh. In particular, the rice from the Devbhog region, which is used as the Lord’s Prasad, is a symbol of the religious connection between the two states.

    Prayed to Mahaprabhu Jagannath for the welfare of the people of the state

    Chief Minister Shri Sai prayed to Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the people of Chhattisgarh. He said that the blessings of Lord Jagannath will always remain on Chhattisgarh.

    On this occasion, MLA Shri Kiran Dev, MLA Shri Purandar Mishra, MLA Shri Sunil Soni, Mayor Smt. Meenal Choubey, Speaker Shri Suryakant Rathore, Shri Sanjay Srivastava, members of the Utkal Samaj and a large number of dignitaries were present.
