    Good Governance Festival-2025: A New Initiative for Transparency, Dialogue, and Solutions

    Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Issues Directives to Collectors Regarding the Organization of the Good Governance Festival

    Raipur, April 4, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has issued a letter to all District Collectors directing them to organize the “Good Governance Festival-2025”. This festival will be organized in three phases with the objective of establishing strong good governance in the state, promptly resolving public problems, reviewing public welfare schemes, and strengthening public dialogue.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai clarified that the government is committed to establishing transparency, effectiveness, and people-friendly administration at every level of governance. Through this festival, the government and administration will directly connect with the general public and work towards resolving their problems in a timely manner.

    Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that our government is continuously working towards establishing good governance in the state. Effective initiatives are being taken at the government and administrative levels to ensure transparency in government functioning at every level of governance and effective implementation of government schemes and programs, so that the benefits reach promptly to those sections of society for whom the schemes are being implemented.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai has written letters to all District Collectors and given necessary directions regarding the conduct of the Good Governance Festival-2025. He said that the objectives of organizing the “Good Governance Festival-2025” are to ensure timely resolution of public problems, review the implementation of government public welfare schemes, accelerate development works, and establish direct dialogue with the general public, public representatives, and various social organizations.

    Good Governance Festival-2025 to be Organized in Three Phases

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Good Governance Festival-2025 will be organized in three phases. In the first phase, applications will be received from the general public from April 8 to April 11, 2025. In the second phase, the received applications will be resolved within approximately one month. In the third and final phase, resolution camps will be organized between May 5 and May 31, 2025. Detailed guidelines are being issued and a portal is being created to make this festival well-organized and effective. Innovations can also be made according to the traditions, needs, and circumstances of each district, so that this festival becomes more useful and effective for the public.

    Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has directed all District Collectors that applications regarding their problems will be received from the general public from April 8 to April 11, 2025, from 10 am to 5 pm at Gram Panchayat headquarters and urban local body offices. Resolution boxes will be placed at these sites so that people can write their problems and complaints without hesitation and put them in it. Arrangements should be made for resolution boxes at the district and development block headquarters levels to receive applications. Applications can also be collected in Haat bazaars as needed. There will also be a provision in the portal to receive online applications. Common Service Centers can also be used to take online applications. Information on giving a code to each application will be available on the portal. Blank application forms (with village-wise/urban local body-wise codes) can be printed and made available to the villagers in the prescribed format.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that each application will be registered in the portal and uploaded online, and the applicant will be given an acknowledgment. To help the public in writing applications, the Collector can assign duties to officers/employees as required. Wide publicity should be given to these dates through various means.

    Resolution of Applications

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that all received applications will be scanned and uploaded to the software and sent online and physically to the concerned district/Janpad/urban local body officials. The concerned department/officer will ensure the resolution of these applications in approximately one month. Applications related to demand will be resolved based on the availability of budget. The quality of resolution of these applications should be analyzed at the district and state levels.
