LucknowFormer MLA Muzaffarnagar and Senior Provincial Vice President Ashok Kansal received a courtesy call from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Many important issues were discussed in this meeting, including events ranging from the development of Shuktirtha to cybercrime.

Thanks for the announcement of making Shuktirtha a development council

Ashok Kansal thanked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said that the government has taken positive steps on the memorandum given by Ganga Seva Samiti Shuktirtha on 15 October 2024. The Chief Minister announced on 5 March 2025 to declare Shuktirtha as a Vikas Parishad and connect the Ganga Expressway with Haridwar, for which Kansal thanked. He said that this step will prove to be a milestone in the religious and tourism development of the region.

Two new demands kept, Chief Minister immediately ordered an inquiry

Apart from this, Ashok Kansal also placed two other demands before the Chief Minister. The first demand was in connection with the incident of cybercrime associated with the wife of District General Secretary Pramod Mittal of Joint Trade Board. In this case, the Chief Minister immediately directed the investigation and assured the action.

The second demand was related to the case of Vikas Chand, a resident of village Baroda of Tehsil Budhana. On 17 September 2024, all the items were destroyed by burning due to fire in his shop and warehouse. Kansal appealed to the Chief Minister to provide financial assistance to this young man, on which Yogi Adityanath conducted an inquiry and assured immediate help.

Demand for justice to the victim’s family in Hindu-Muslim riots of 2013

In another sensitive case, Ashok Kansal referred to the Hindu-Muslim quarrel in the Qawwal region in 2013. Atar Singh’s son Chandra Prakash went missing in this incident. Kansal said that Muslim families have got help of Rs 15 lakhs, but this Hindu family has not yet got any help, while their name was at the top of the list. Taking the matter seriously, the Chief Minister assured to immediately investigate and ensure justice.

Ashok Kansal’s letter: Demand for compensation to businessman

Earlier, Ashok Kansal sent a letter to the Chief Minister to request for prompt help in the matter of Vikas Chand. In the letter, he wrote that everything of the young man has been destroyed due to fire in the shop and warehouse and now he has no means of living. In such a situation, the government should provide financial assistance to him.

    What will happen next?

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has assured quick action in all cases. From the development of Shukatirtha to cybercrime and riot victims, the government’s activism can be seen on every issue.
