Kawardha : Social media is a means of creating virtual friendship and identity in today’s era. Meanwhile, many people are misusing it. One such incident has come to light from Kawardha. In which the young man first befriended a minor girl through social media. Then he was implicated in forgery. After that, he called him on the pretext of meeting and raped her.
The victim’s family lodged a complaint: After this incident, the minor girl informed her family about the entire incident. The family reached the women’s police station of Kawardha and lodged a complaint. After the complaint, the police arrested the accused.
In Kawardha Mahila police station, the family of the minor lodged a complaint that the accused befriended their minor daughter on social media. After that he was called on the pretext of meeting him. On coming to meet the girl, the accused has carried out the rape incident. After the case is registered, we have arrested the accused –Krishna Kumar Chandrakar, DSP
Case filed against accused: The police has registered a case against the accused. Police is taking further action under the Poxo Act.
