    Applications Invited for Chief Minister Good Governance Fellowship from April 23rd to May 11th

    Raipur, April 22, 2025/ Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chhattisgarh government is consistently emphasizing innovation and effective policies to promote good governance in the state. In this series, the Chief Minister Good Governance Fellow Scheme has been launched. The aim of this scheme is to prepare an efficient and responsible administrative generation by providing high-quality education and practical experience in the field of governance to the talented youth of the state. Under the scheme, the Chhattisgarh government, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management Raipur, will conduct a postgraduate course in Public Policy and Governance. The fellows will also get the opportunity for practical training in various departments of the government.

    The Chief Minister Good Governance Fellowship is a major initiative of the Chhattisgarh government, announced by Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai in November 2024. This program aims to attract young professionals to contribute to governance and policy implementation, enhancing administrative efficiency and impact. Through this, efficiency and transparency in the functioning of governance will be promoted, as well as youth will get an opportunity to contribute towards governance improvement by working in coordination with governance, NGOs, think tanks and the private sector. The applicant should be a native of Chhattisgarh state, the maximum age limit should be 35 years, the minimum educational qualification should be graduation. Bank account and Aadhaar must be linked to the mobile number. Selection will be done through the CAT exam for admission.

    The Chhattisgarh government will bear the entire fees of this course, as well as provide a scholarship of ₹50,000 per month to each enrolled student. The training will be held at the IIM Raipur campus.

    Fellows for the Chief Minister Good Governance Fellowship will play an important role in the governance and administration of the Chhattisgarh government. Selected candidates will assist in the design and evaluation of data-based policies, streamline processes in government departments for administrative efficiency, better utilization of resources and strengthen e-governance, as well as help in making policies according to the needs of citizens by analyzing the impact of schemes at the grassroots level.

    Through this fellowship, administrative processes will become more efficient and transparent, which will increase the impact of government schemes. This program will give young professionals the opportunity to play leadership roles, which will strengthen the culture of good governance and increase citizens’ trust in the government. The Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Good Governance Fellowship not only provides young people with the opportunity for high-level education and training, but will also make a significant contribution to realizing the goal of good governance in the state. This initiative is a concrete step towards making Chhattisgarh a prosperous, inclusive and progressive state.

    Under the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Good Governance Fellowship, the fellows selected for the two-year MBA program in Public Policy and Governance will assist in the design, analysis and implementation of administrative policies with expertise in public policy and governance in the functioning of the Chhattisgarh government. They will also improve the effectiveness of schemes by promoting data-based policy making.

    Fellowship holders will work in various government departments and help in streamlining processes, optimizing the use of resources, and ensuring accountability. The Fellows will contribute to making schemes and services more inclusive and accessible by understanding the needs of the citizens. They will evaluate the impact of schemes at the grassroots level and provide feedback to the government, which will make policies more targeted and effective.

    This fellowship program of the Chhattisgarh government reflects its commitment to good governance. The selected candidates will not only strengthen administrative processes, but will also play an important role in improving the standard of living of the citizens of the state. This initiative is an important step in establishing Chhattisgarh as a progressive and inclusive state.

    Applications are invited by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur for the two-year MBA program in Public Policy and Governance for the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Good Governance Fellowship from April 23 to May 11. For this, it is mandatory for the candidate to have a graduation degree in any subject with a minimum of 60 percent marks (55 percent marks or equivalent CGPA for reserved category).
