A shocking and brutal attack in the Khunti district of Jharkhand has resulted in the death of one individual and serious injury to another. The incident unfolded late Friday night when two friends riding a motorcycle were targeted. The police were alerted by local villagers and immediately arrived at the scene. The body of the deceased has been secured and has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
The victims were returning from the Saiko weekly market on their motorcycle when the attack occurred near the Kochadih village bridge. The assailants first threw chili powder into their eyes, causing them to lose balance. The attackers, who arrived on two motorcycles, then used a sharp weapon to attack Choyta Sarukad, who died at the scene. Singa Munda, the other youth, was seriously injured.
The attackers fled the scene, and villagers discovered the injured men. The injured were taken to a local hospital, where Choyta Sarukad was declared dead. Police from Murhu police station immediately launched an investigation, registering a First Information Report based on the survivor’s statement. Police have stated that they will swiftly apprehend all suspects.
