A convoy carrying Tejashwi Yadav, former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, was involved in an accident in Vaishali on Saturday morning. The incident took place near Goraul as Yadav was returning to Patna from a political gathering in Madhepura. The convoy had stopped for a short break on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway around 12:30 AM when a truck crashed into several vehicles of his security detail. Fortunately, Yadav was some distance away at the time and was not injured. However, three security personnel sustained injuries and were immediately taken to a hospital. The local police apprehended the truck driver, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident. The incident has brought to light safety concerns regarding the travel of political figures on Bihar roads, especially at night. After the incident, Yadav visited the injured security officials and expressed his concern. He has since reassured his supporters and has resumed his normal activities.
