The passenger was eventually freed after the flight landed in Bengaluru. The flight, which took off from Mumbai at 2:10 AM following a delay, was originally scheduled to depart at 10:55 PM. The incident began when a passenger in seat 14D entered the restroom and found the door jammed. Neither the passenger nor the crew could resolve the issue.
To comfort the trapped passenger, the crew wrote a note and passed it through the door, asking them to stay calm and remain seated until the flight landed. The note was widely shared on social media. The flight landed in Bengaluru at approximately 3:45 AM. The door was then opened by airport engineers. The airline has expressed regret and offered an apology.
