The OnePlus Open 2, the next generation foldable smartphone, is slated for a release in the latter half of 2025. Following the launch of the original OnePlus Open in October 2023, this delay might be unwelcome news for some. According to reports from sources such as Sanju Choudhary, the launch is now scheduled for the second half of 2025, a shift from the initial expectation of a Q1 2025 launch. Pricing details are still unavailable. The anticipated specifications include a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, a high-resolution 2K+ foldable display, a 50MP triple camera setup, potentially with a circular periscope telephoto lens. It is also speculated to support 3-stage wireless charging, and to sport a thinner, lighter design using materials like leather and glass. These specifications are speculative and subject to change before the official release.
