Chhattisgarh Government’s Swift Action: Cabinet Meeting to Address Naxal Violence and Aid to Martyr’s Family

Following the tragic loss of ASP Akash Giripunje in the Konta Naxal attack, the Chhattisgarh government, led by CM Vishnu Deo Sai, has swiftly called an emergency cabinet meeting. A key agenda item is the consideration of a compassionate appointment for the martyr’s wife, reflecting the government’s commitment to support the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. The cabinet meeting is set to take place on June 12th and will also discuss the upcoming visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the 16th of the month. During his visit, Amit Shah is expected to meet with the family of ASP Giripunje and present the appointment order. He will also engage with security forces in Bijapur and review the progress of the anti-Naxal operations. Furthermore, the meeting will finalize dates for the monsoon session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. The government aims to complete the mission of making Chhattisgarh Naxal-free by March 2026.
