The Hero Vida VX2 electric scooter is slated for release on July 1st. The upcoming scooter has been spotted during testing and in dealerships, hinting at its imminent launch. The VX2 is expected to have a different design and new features than the existing V2 models while maintaining the same underlying platform. One of its key features is expected to be its more affordable price point. The VX2 is likely to have a more conventional design. However, it will share internal components like the battery, motor, and chassis with the V2 to make it cost effective. The current Vida lineup starts at Rs 74,000 for the V2 Lite and goes up to Rs 1.20 lakh for the V2 Pro. Pricing for the new scooter is unknown, but a competitive price is expected. Multiple variants of the VX2 are expected to be offered. The VX2 is expected to be equipped with front disc brakes, telescopic suspension, and a digital dashboard with a joystick control and an SOS button. Battery options are expected to mirror the V2, with the base variant having a 2.2 kWh battery and the top-spec model featuring a 3.4 kWh battery. It is anticipated to use a permanent magnet motor with lower output than the V2.
