WhatsApp is working on new features for its Android users, enhancing the overall user experience and bringing it closer to the iOS version. This is happening through recent beta updates that include a built-in document scanner and a significant expansion of chat theme colors. The integrated document scanner will allow users to scan documents directly from within WhatsApp, offering both manual and automatic scanning modes. Scanned documents will be converted to PDF format locally. The update will also introduce 18 additional color options for chat themes, allowing users to personalize their chats further. These features are still in development and are expected to be released in subsequent WhatsApp updates.
