‘Golmaal Five’ Set to Roll: Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn Aim for 2026 Release

The hit-making duo of Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn are set to bring back the ‘Golmaal’ magic with ‘Golmaal Five,’ with filming expected to start in early 2026. The fifth film in the comedy series is currently in the scripting phase. Rohit Shetty is currently directing the Rakesh Maria biopic, aiming to complete filming by September 2025 and finalize editing by the end of 2025. After the biopic, Shetty will immediately start preparing for ‘Golmaal Five,’ with production planned for February or March 2026. A new writing team is working on the screenplay, with the goal of locking it by September 2025. The movie will feature the iconic cast including Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, and Johnny Lever, promising another round of laughter for the audience. The ‘Golmaal’ franchise, launched in 2006, is a staple of Indian comedy, enjoying immense popularity and a devoted fan base. Ajay Devgn also has a busy schedule with projects like ‘Son of Sardaar 2,’ ‘De De Pyaar De 2,’ and ‘Drishyam 3’ set to release soon. He has also completed the filming of ‘Dhamaal 4,’ scheduled for release in 2026.
