Due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, the Ministry of External Affairs has taken steps to ensure the safety of Indian citizens in Tehran. Indian students have been relocated from Tehran, facilitated by the Indian Embassy. Indian residents capable of independent travel have been advised to move out of the city. The Indian Embassy has also provided assistance for some Indians to leave Iran through the Armenian border. The Embassy has issued contact numbers for any Indian nationals in Tehran who are not in contact with the mission. These numbers are: +989010144557, +989128109115, and +989128109109. The conflict, now in its fifth day, has resulted in 224 fatalities in Iran and 24 in Israel.
