Domestic Violence Case in Bihar: Husband Arrested After Wife’s Allegations of Torture

Authorities in Bihar have arrested a man following claims of severe domestic abuse inflicted upon his wife. The woman alleges her husband, Shatrughan Rai, subjected her to brutal treatment, including burning her with a hot iron and forcing her to consume chili powder. In addition to physical assault, the victim claims to have been confined without food or water for two days. The woman, who has been married for ten years and has three children, reported the incident to the police, which led to the husband’s arrest. The police have registered charges related to domestic violence and physical assault.
