The Nothing Phone 3, with an expected launch on July 1, is generating buzz with new processor leaks. Recent reports suggest the phone might be equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, which contrasts with previous expectations of a Snapdragon 8 Elite. The 8s Gen 4 CPU includes a Cortex-X4 core running at 3.2 GHz, alongside three Cortex-A720 cores at 3 GHz, two at 2.8 GHz, and two at 2 GHz. This configuration is expected to provide an upgrade over the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 in terms of performance, but it may not compete with the Snapdragon 8 Elite because it lacks the Qualcomm’s Oryon CPU cores. The processor integrates an Adreno GPU with a new sliced architecture and an enhanced NPU. Features like Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi, and XPAN may also be present. If the phone is equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, some features like 8K video recording, 4K/120FPS slow-motion, and mmWave 5G could be missing. Final specifications are unconfirmed.
