A Bengali quick movie Boitarani starring legendary actor Soumitra Chatterjee has been launched on YouTube and OTT platform.
The movie directed by Anindya Dutta was launched on Tuesday on digital platforms to commemorate the 86th start anniversary of Chatterjee.
The major lead of Boitarani (The River Between) is performed by the late thespian. Beside getting launched on YouTube on the devoted IP of a manufacturing home (SVF) the place folks can see the 29-minute movie, it’s also being streamed at an OTT platform.
The story revolves across the lifetime of widower Sougata Roy Choudhury (performed by Soumitra Chatterjee), an eminent poet who’s being honoured by a literary society to have a serene vacation at Kusumpur forest, the director mentioned.
“For widower Sougata, this is also an escape from the estranged family of his careerist son and as he traverses the journey, a question storms his mind, ‘where does man escape after all?’ He tries to find the answer in all that he could achieve in life. As a mysterious village girl appears before him suddenly, he realises that there is a river that flows in between to separate life from death. None can escape from the suddenness of crossing it at the end,” Dutta informed PTI.
