The monsoon has fully advanced across Chhattisgarh, with rain expected in many districts today. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall alert for the Sarguja division. The weather forecast also includes heavy rain accompanied by strong winds and lightning in Raipur, Bilaspur, Rajnandgaon, Balod, Sukma, Bijapur, Dantewada, Kanker, and other regions.

In Raipur, the minimum temperature was 25.8 degrees Celsius, while the maximum reached 31.1 degrees Celsius. The weather department anticipates similar weather patterns for the next three days. The public has been advised to stay indoors during rain and to avoid being in open areas or under trees.

Continuous rainfall in the Jashpur region has caused rivers and streams to rise significantly.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in the Sarguja division of northern Chhattisgarh during the next 24 hours. Jashpur district has seen continuous rainfall for the past 60 hours, with a total of 468.7 mm of rain recorded. Rivers like Ib, Dorki, Lava, Maini, and Kapri are overflowing, and traffic is being disrupted in several locations.
