Yamaha is gearing up to launch a new hybrid FZ model, as evidenced by recent patent filings. The upcoming motorcycle will feature a 149cc hybrid engine, with a potential launch in the Indian market. The brand has already launched a hybrid version of its Ray Z scooter. The company aims to broaden its hybrid offerings with a new, more budget-friendly FZ. To achieve a competitive price point, some high-end features, such as the TFT instrument panel, may be omitted. The current hybrid FZ model is priced at Rs 1.45 lakh, while reports suggest the new model might be priced at Rs 1.4 lakh. The bike will have a 149cc blue core engine, and a starter motor will enable a start-stop system to increase fuel economy. Battery assistance is expected to aid in achieving better performance.
