Lalu Prasad Yadav has secured his re-election as the national president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), extending his leadership to a 13th term. Ramchandra Purve, the election officer, confirmed that Yadav was the only candidate and his nomination was approved. The official announcement and the presentation of the election certificate are scheduled for the party’s national council meeting on July 5. The ruling NDA in Bihar has criticized the RJD, stating that Yadav’s re-election is proof of family control. JDU spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad has accused Tejashwi Yadav of lacking ethical standards. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary critiqued the RJD, claiming that the party has established a monarchy by re-electing Yadav, prioritizing their family over other communities.
