The Trinamool Congress (TMC) will meet the Election Commission today to discuss the contentious Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar. The delegation will express their concerns about the SIR and other issues. Election Commission officials have stated the need for the revision due to ineligible individuals obtaining voter IDs. Opposition parties have raised concerns that this revision might affect the rights of legitimate voters. The Election Commission is preparing to undertake an intensive review of voter lists in six states, starting with Bihar, to identify and remove foreign illegal immigrants. This is happening while considering upcoming elections in Bihar and other states.
