Families affected by the Ahmedabad Air India plane crash are moving forward with legal action against Boeing and Air India. A legal partnership between Keystone Law (UK) and Wisner Law Firm (US) will lead the lawsuits in both the United States and the United Kingdom. The lawyers are working with the families to ensure their rights are protected under existing international law. The planned lawsuits are independent of any support offered by Tata Sons. According to James Healy-Pratt of Keystone Law, the legal team has been in discussions with the affected families over the last week, carefully reviewing all the evidence. They are planning to file a lawsuit against Boeing in the US, while simultaneously pursuing a case against Air India in the High Court in London. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner crash claimed 241 lives, with a single survivor, after taking off from Ahmedabad and crashing into a medical college campus. Of those who died, 181 were Indian nationals and 52 were from the UK. Air India’s parent company, the Tata Group, announced initial and additional compensation packages for the families. The legal team is now reviewing early settlement offers from Air India’s insurer, Tata AIG. Following a thorough investigation, the lawsuits will be filed on behalf of the families. Some families may choose to sue Air India in the London High Court, while others will file cases in a US federal court in Virginia, targeting Boeing. The goal is to seek complete compensation, with no limitations.
