During the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Washington, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and US State Secretary Marco Rubio engaged in discussions to boost the India-US partnership. Key areas of focus included trade, security, critical technologies, connectivity, energy, and mobility. Jaishankar also met with his Australian counterpart, Penny Wong, reflecting on the comprehensive strategic partnership. Earlier, at the Pentagon, Jaishankar and US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth emphasized the strategic importance of defense ties. The discussions highlighted the successful integration of US defense items and plans to enhance industrial cooperation and co-production networks.
