Violence continues to plague Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In the latest incident, a bomb explosion in Bajaur district claimed the lives of five people, including an assistant commissioner, and left 11 others injured. This follows a recent suicide bombing in North Waziristan, where 13 security personnel lost their lives. The ISPR identified the perpetrators of the Waziristan attack as Fitna-al-Khawarij. In a separate event, a suicide attacker targeted a security convoy in the Mir Ali area, resulting in injuries to a number of civilians. Pakistan has pointed the finger at India for the Waziristan bombing, a claim strongly refuted by the Indian government.
