The Raipur Municipal Corporation has undertaken a large-scale transfer of staff within its tax collection department. The order, issued by Municipal Commissioner Vishwadeep, led to the reassignment of 93 officers and employees. This move comes after the prior transfer of 10 Assistant Revenue Officers. Discussions were ongoing on Wednesday regarding the implications of this reshuffle, particularly the potential impact on tax collection efforts. The corporation has set an ambitious target of collecting more than 400 crore in revenue this year. The transfers are expected to impact tax collection, as new personnel need time to familiarize themselves with the ward situations. The transfers also include the movement of officials between different zones, such as the transfer of Bhartesh Netam from Zone-6 to the headquarters.
