The Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, will host a state-level felicitation ceremony on July 4, 2025, at 3 PM. This event will bring together 4,876 newly elected Sarpanchs and 600 members from Mahila Samaras Gram Panchayats. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will virtually award grants exceeding ₹35 crore to 761 Samaras Gram Panchayats. Certificates will be given to the Sarpanchs of Gram Panchayats which have excelled in nine themes of the Panchayat Advancement Index. Over ₹1,236 crore has been provisioned under various incentive and grant schemes. Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil will deliver a motivational address. Multiple Gram Panchayats across Gujarat have been recognized for their top performance in their respective districts under the nine themes. Bhavnagar district has the highest number of Samaras Gram Panchayats, with Mehsana leading in Women’s Samaras Gram Panchayats.
