CERT-In, India’s cyber security agency, has issued a warning about a critical security vulnerability affecting Xiaomi devices. The agency has identified a flaw within the Mi Connect App that could put users of Xiaomi phones, tablets, and TVs at risk. The vulnerability allows for potential unauthorized access to devices, raising concerns about data security. To mitigate this risk, CERT-In strongly advises Xiaomi users to update the Mi Connect app to its newest version. Users should particularly focus on updating if they have version 3.1.895.10 or earlier. The agency’s advisory stresses the importance of proactive measures to safeguard against potential cyberattacks.
