The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is nearing completion, promising to cut travel time between the two cities. The Rs 13,000 crore project spans 210 km and links Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The expressway includes Asia’s largest wildlife corridor. This corridor is designed to allow wildlife to move freely through the Rajaji Tiger Reserve. Construction on the expressway has involved overcoming challenges, especially on the stretch from Ganeshpur to Dehradun. Upon completion, the travel time between Delhi and Dehradun will be reduced by 2.5 to 3 hours. The project, which commenced in 2021, will also boost tourism and business prospects in the region.
